uji is an active volcano in Japan, straddling Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures, located about 80 kilometers southwest of Tokyo.
The main peak is 3,776 meters high and is the highest peak in Japan.
The snow on the top of Mt. Fuji accumulates in winter and does not melt until June of the following year.
