eki Lighthouse, located at Jizozaki, the easternmost tip of the Shimane Peninsula, is a stately stone building built in 1898. It has been selected as one of the "100 Best Historic Lighthouses in the World" and one of Japan's 50 Best Lighthouses. It is the first lighthouse in Japan to be registered as a tangible cultural property, and was designated as a national important cultural property in 2022.
