Carcinomas are cancers that arise from epithelial cells in the skin or tissue lining. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is located behind the nose and above the back of the throat. It is a rare cancer and often isn't diagnosed until it is has advanced to a late stage. Treatment is with radiotherapy, sometimes combined with chemotherapy
