The luffa plant is a tropical climbing vine, also known as angled luffa, that produces bright yellow, five-petaled flowers that are either male or female on the same plant. The plant has hairy leaves, yellow flowers, and produces long, ridged gourds that become fibrous as they dry. It is common to see these wasps on loofah vines, where they may be looking for prey or nectar from the male flowers.
