机场监控雷达 - 劳德代尔堡-好莱坞国际机场 (FLL) - 佛罗里达州

ip features an airport surveillance radar tower at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida. The circular platform supports the rotating radar antenna. The white dome-like units around the edge are protective covers (radomes) for radar components. The central enclosed box houses sensitive electronics and the rotating mechanism. The tall open steel frame elevates the radar so it has a clear, unobstructed view of aircraft in all directions. The staircase allows maintenance crews to access the equipment. Air traffic controllers use the radar to track aircraft positions near the airport, monitor takeoffs and landings, and maintain safe separation between planes.
