aegeriana, commonly known as the Eastern Joshua Tree or Jaeger's Joshua Tree, is a shorter, more compact species of Joshua tree native to the eastern Mojave Desert. Distinguished from the Western Joshua Tree (Yucca brevifolia) by its dense branching, shorter leaves, and exclusive pollinator (the eastern yucca moth), it is primarily found in California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.
