ing red aurora forming in the night sky above the worlds strongest Maelstrom Saltstraumen, during a Geomagnetic Storm on September 14th. Before this storm occurred, a massive butterfly shaped sunspot was observed on the surface of the sun, possibly causing the immense red tones observed in the northern lights that night, as it danced just next to the moon. The view is towards the northeast fjord from a popular spot for tourists for its spectacular views and fishing opportunities.
